The works in the previously viewed art exhibition were the result of a collaboration between KWS employees and students from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Jasmin Hilera Dorna, a student on the Experimental Design course, introduced the pupils to abstract painting techniques. The motto was: “Away from the brush, away from the white sheet”. Instead, they used sponges and wooden spatulas, dabbing, wiping and scratching.
The 5d worked with warm and cold colors and experienced new perspectives when looking through blue, red or yellow foils. The open experimentation outside the classroom was great fun for the young artists and gave them the opportunity to give free rein to their creativity. In the world of color, they experienced at first hand what Pablo Picasso once said: “Art is there to wash the dust of everyday life from the soul”.
Art at KWS stands for diversity, individuality and creativity. It creates new perspectives and scope for experimentation. Promoting cultural education is a focus of our social commitment. We have set ourselves the goal of inspiring young people in particular to become creative, experiment and try out new things. This is why we are actively involved in initiatives that promote education – and thus also express our commitment to the region.
