Habitat demands - where will your plants grow best?
Our crops have different demands on their environment. In particular, factors such as soil, climate and water supply, have a strong influence on the achievable yield and quality level. To achieve the greatest possible success in crop growing, the habitat demands of the crop being cultivated absolutely must be considered.
An adequate water supply is essential for healthy plant growth. The water requirement of our crop species is described by the transpiration coefficient. This value describes how much water is needed to produce 1 kg of dry matter.
