On Wednesday 13 March, seed specialist KWS officially opened their new breeding station in Sinaloa, Mexico. There, the company will carry out breeding for tomato and pepper as well as screening activities for cucumber, melon and watermelon. Since its entry into the long-term growth market for vegetable seeds in 2019, KWS has been building a global network of sites to expand its breeding and sales activities across new regions.

Art met education in a unique way when the Hildesheim artist Rolf Behme guided 55 pupils from the art performance courses at the Paul-Gerhardt-Schule in Dassel and the tenth grade at the Goetheschule Einbeck through his fascinating exhibition "beziehungsweise n" (“relation ways”). The exhibition is on display as part of the "Kunst im BiT" series at the KWS Biotechnikum in Einbeck until February.

KWS expects certification next year of the resulting sustainable feeding concept – a first with a signal effect for the entire industry.

New political requirements lead to the fact that growing grain corn is an increasingly attractive option for many farmers in Europe. KWS' DryDown+ grain corn varieties are characterized by very early flowering and an extremely fast and strong dry-down (drying capacity). These properties allow cultivation for the first time in regions previously dominated by winter cereals and also strengthen sustainable cultivation in typical grain corn regions.
