Art at KWS

With our "Art in the BiT" series of events, we have been regularly bringing artists and their works into our working environment for 25 years and at the same time invite the interested public to the KWS research building "Biotechnikum" as part of the exhibition openings. In Einbeck's old town, we have maintained the NEWCOMER KWS Art Lounge since 2015, a gallery that sees itself primarily as a springboard for young artists and aims to enrich the cultural offerings in the region.

The works of Luzia Simons (b. 1953 in Brazil) testify to her close relationship with nature, with flowers, plants, and trees in their infinite diversity. The splendor of the equatorial forests and the lush vegetation of her home country are as much a part of the artist’s pictorial world as European vegetation.

Daria Koltsova –
As the stars fell on me

Daria Koltsova, winner of the Kaiserring Scholarship 2024, is a Ukrainian who deals intensively with the war in her home country. She creates sculptures using materials such as glass and metal, which she assembles into moving installations.

Art in the BiT

For 25 years, the event series “Kunst im BiT” has been held on the company premises in Einbeck with exhibitions of regional, national and also international successful artists.

The location has been carefully chosen: Scientific and artistic creativity meet in the Biotechnikum, where research is conducted with passion and great know-how. In several annual exhibitions, the "Art in the BiT" series invites KWS employees and interested members of the public to engage with contemporary perspectives of painters, graphic artists and photographers and question established habits of seeing and thinking.

NEWCOMER KWS Art Lounge

The NEWCOMER KWS Art Lounge is located at Einbeck’s center, surrounded by half-timbered houses, tradition and Lower Saxony's down-to-earth attitude.

In two rooms, the small gallery offers young upcoming artists the opportunity to gain or further develop exhibition experience. The exhibitions are not limited to classic painting but can comprise all possible art forms, also newly invented and reinvented ones: sculpture, photography, print graphics, visual media, light installations or performance art.

NEWCOMER is open for everything: beautiful, weird, face-to-face, inspiration or simply something new.
