CONVISO® ONE – Application of this innovative herbicide
CONVISO® ONE is a post-emergence herbicide
CONVISO® ONE is a post-emergence herbicide that is applied in two applications, 0.5 L/ha per application with a 10 – 14 day interval between applications.
Tank mixing with CONVISO® ONE
CONVISO® ONE can also be used in a tank mixture or in sequence with other herbicides where necessary.
The reach of CONVISO® ONE
Non-tolerant varieties are fully sensitive to ALS-inhibitor herbicides and would be damaged or killed by CONVISO® ONE.
CONVISO® ONE can only be applied to SMART KWS varieties. Classic sugarbeet will die, if treated with this herbicide.
Application Rate
The dose rate is two applications of 0.5 L/ha with a interval of 10 - 14 days between applications. The second application should be made before the crop has reached 8 true leaves.
Before pouring CONVISO® ONE into the sprayer tank, shake the can well 2 – 3 times. Refer to product label for detailed mixing instructions.
Spray Timing
CONVISO® ONE is registered to be used from 2 to 8 true leaves of the beet. The decision on when to apply the herbicide is determined by the growth stage of the weeds.
The guiding weed is fathen (Chenopodium album). Once the first fathen plants reach the 2 – 4 true leave stage (BBCH 12), the first spray is applied. Where no fathen exists, choose another broadleaf weed and target application for 2-4 true leaves.
Speed of action
Herbicides belonging to the group of ALS inhibitors act slower than the classical herbicides currently used in beet. After the application of CONVISO® ONE weeds stop growing (1-3 days) followed by yellowing (chlorosis) which then turns into a reddish tone (4-10 days). Finally plants show a progressive browning (necrosis) and will die (7-20 days).
Mixtures and sequences
Only SMART KWS varieties are tolerant to the highly effective herbicide CONVISO® ONE.
The combination of SMART KWS varieties and the herbicide CONVISO® ONE will help to catch the full benefits of the new system – the CONVISO® SMART system.
Standard recommendation for CONVISO® ONE:
Fathen (Chenopodium album) - The indicator weed for CONVISO® ONE
The decision on when to apply CONVISO® ONE is determined by the growth stage of the indicator weed fathen. In case there is no fathen in the fields, choose another braodleaf weed and look for the individuals with two - four true leaves.
First application
Apply when the first fathen plants reach the 2 - 4 true leaf stage
Second application
An interval of 10 - 14 days later when first new emerging weeds reach the two true leaf stage.
