About
KWS Cochise is a tried and tested high yielding spring breadmaking wheat on the 2025/26 Recommended List. It performs well both spring and late autumn-sown where it yields 10% and 6% ahead of Mulika, respectively (AHDB Recommended List, Spring Wheat 2022). A high performing spring wheat, KWS Cochise has good grain quality, including a specific weight of 79kg/hl and good protein content to serve milling contracts (13.4%). In the field, the variety is tall but stiff-strawed with a solid disease profile, including the added benefits of OWBM resistance and resistance to Soil Borne Wheat Mosaic Virus.
