In its second year on the Descriptive list KWS Flam sits with high yields of 114% of controls, with good potential for both the animal feed and human consumption markets. KWS Flam offers growers easy crop management with all the characters for a safe harvest such as earlier maturity (6) and standing ability through to harvest (7). Throughout the growing season KWS Flam had good resistance to pea wilt along with solid scores for downy mildew (5). As with most commercialized yellow peas on the market, KWS Flam is susceptible to powdery mildew. A good thousand seed weight (266g) and protein content (21.7%) rounds off the impressive package for KWS Flam.
