In demand: Dr. Jörn Andreas on…

...the strategy of the KWS Group and further growth

Since its foundation in 1856, KWS has experienced impressive growth, both in terms of its product portfolio and its sales volume. Today, we are one of the world's leading plant breeding companies. We are convinced that this success is based, among other things, on our clear positioning as a family-run company and our focus on our core business of seeds. In doing so, we remain true to our maxim: to grow profitably, predominantly organically and sustainably – without mergers and with targeted acquisitions. We will continue to invest worldwide in research and development of new varieties, in new distribution structures, in the modernization and expansion of production plants and in the digitalization of business processes.

...the economic situation of KWS

In the context of complex political, economic and social challenges in Germany and the world, KWS' business has repeatedly proven to be robust and promising. The group is economically healthy and has grown steadily in recent years. We have a strong financial base, which we intend to leverage to take advantage of promising business opportunities and investments. KWS' structure as a partnership limited by shares (KGaA) gives us flexible financing options and thus the foundation for future growth.

...KWS in ten years

KWS will remain an independent, internationally operating seed company with German roots thanks to its outstanding products, motivated employees and modern infrastructure. We want to grow steadily, but with a sense of proportion, and remain true to our values. That will enable us to secure our independence, which differentiates us from our competitors, over the long term.
