The Week of the Environment, sponsored by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU), is held every four years. This year, KWS and other partners (Foundation of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover, Brand Qualitätsfleisch)1 were selected to present their joint marketing and feeding project. The expert jury was impressed by how the regional marketing of pork, combined with a low-emission feeding concept with a high proportion of hybrid rye, is helping make food production more sustainable.

On Wednesday 13 March, seed specialist KWS officially opened their new breeding station in Sinaloa, Mexico. There, the company will carry out breeding for tomato and pepper as well as screening activities for cucumber, melon and watermelon. Since its entry into the long-term growth market for vegetable seeds in 2019, KWS has been building a global network of sites to expand its breeding and sales activities across new regions.

KWS Annual General Meeting approves higher dividend

At today's Annual General Meeting, the shareholders of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE0007074007) approved the management's proposed resolutions on all agenda items with clear majorities. The dividend payout for the 2022/2023 financial year will increase to €0.90 (0.80) per share.
